The "F" Word (16x20 Original)

I was always taught as a kid that the "F" word was the worst thing in the world. I was also taught to apologize for things that weren't my fault.

One day, in my backyard at 38 years old, I yelled the word "F*ck!" and it felt so liberating. It gave me a greater sense of healing when I finally said it. It felt like the anti-venom to all the built-up resentment for years of saying sorry for things I wasn't responsible for. It seemed like the plug clogging up my pathway to healing was that "F" word and once I said it the lid to part of my personal misery blasted off and I felt like I could breath for the first time.
